The
Associazione culturale Pagus* was born in september 2000 from an idea
of a group of friends.
In these years it suggested
and organized for its members many tours, discovering history,
art and culture of veronese land. It cooperated with italian and
foreign travel agencies and tour operators, with public and
private organizations, published pieces on touristic magazines,
partecipated in conferences, contributed to realization of local
history books.
Today Pagus presents itself
as an authorized tour leaders and guide Association, with
proposals of wine tours, art&history tours, bike tours in
Valpolicella and in the city and province of Verona.

* "Pagus" is
the latin word used in the first century B.C. by the Romans
to identify the Valpolicella district, inhabited by
Etruscans, Celts, Veneti, Reti, a mixed population that
recognised itself with the name Arusnates. Therefore
pagus of the
Arusnates.
